First, it was opening night Friday night at the Valley Preferred Cycling Center for the World Series of Bicycling. The hype started early with a press conference on Thursday afternoon:
The racing went pretty well considering it was week #1. I ended up finishing second in the omnium (overall placing after 4 races) and had fun being back at it:
*photos VPCC & CyclingCapturedAlso this weekend I competed in the BLP2209 Grand Prix in New Jersey and, after competing in the men's race, was able to sqeak out the win in the women's race from a breakaway of six riders. Quite a taxing day!

Hans Petter Engelstad qualified for the UCI World Cycling Tour UWCT Final (world master's road championships) this past weekend through a high placing in the Gran Fondo Eddy Merckx in Huy, Belgium. The world's are to be held in September in Stavelot, Belgium.
