...and it starts today. After 7 1/2 weeks of "break time" which included two solid weeks completely off the bike and the rest in unstructured training, the off-season for 2011 is officially over and the build-up for 2012 has begun.
I wrapped up the off-season with a short vacation. It was very busy. Much baked good, ice cream, fried food, and cheesy sandwich goodness was had. Food is how all good vacations are measured, are they not? Hey, you've got to turn the nutritionist switch off every once in a while ;)
So, it is back to the bike, back to the gym, back to the focus. I'll be playing the next couple of weeks low as I get back into the swing of things, but the calendar will start to fill in soon enough. Most likely first up will be the Valley Preferred Cycling Center's World Series of Bicycling. Seems that I'm the latest highlighted rider on the VPCC's Facebook page.
